Sonnet

He did not mean to make her cry
She did not mean to to upset him
She felt like they were hanging on a limb
The only thing she could say was why
It was a mistake she didn't mean to tell
All she wanted was to take it all back
She looked up to him and said Oh Mack
He looked at her but his face just fell

He held her close and kissed her cheek
She leaned into him and said What now
He said everything will be okay
All she wanted was to forget the day
All he did was furrow his brow
He held her tight til she was weak

  1. The situation of this sonnet is quite intriguing. It makes me wonder what she did! Regarding the structure, your sestet doesn't match any of the patterns available for an Italian sonnet:
    cd c d c d
    c d d c d c
    c d e c d e
    c d e c e d
    c d c e d c
